Day 7: We drove through tons of Construction and finally made it to Chicago. We had no real plans here.... we just mainly drove around. We had both been here before so it was just a quick few hour stop. We saw the Sears Tower, drove by the house Rodney lived in when he lived here, ate at Billy Goat Tavern (made famous by Saturday Night Live), saw the Chicago River and Chicago Theater.
We tried to get pictures of the Illinois and Indiana Signs to add to our collection. We did get them but it was too dangerous to get out and take out if tge car in traffic. (They were along BUSY freeways). We paid two tolls (one to get out of Illinois and one to get into Indiana) and we stopped in Hammond, Indiana.
